New mouse - G502 X: Exciting thing!
So, yes. The title says most of it: I’ve bought the Logitech G502 X for my new setup - and i’m super excited to get to “Know” this gaming mouse, since i have heard a ton about the G502 line for the past years. I’m eager to see what all the fuzz is about!
I will primary use this mouse paired with my ROG Azoth - and i have some cool stuff planned for this combination, for my Xbox Series S. Some of the neat things regarding this mouse is it’s Hero 25K sensor - it will track super-well and precise for many years to come. If what i’ve heard about the previous iterations of this mouse is true - it’s tracking, shape and durability is superb!
In combination with the sensor, there are a number of buttons i will remap for certain game controls, and also make great use of the “sniper button” (the button on the very right side, down) The sniper button takes down the DPI: so you can aim better in the moment - and when lifted, the mouse returns to it’s former DPI setting - don’t worry, if you don’t need the button to act as a DPI-switch, you can rebind this in the Logitech software.
Something to get used to…
As with most things, there is a ton to get used to. A gaming mouse is a tool that you need to “get to know”. The shape, position of the buttons, and how it behaves in general. I think the most crucial thing is the shape. It will take some time getting used to, but i believe (and hope) it will happen sooner than later. I’ll come back with a review in a couple of weeks, i’ve hopefully gotten more used to this mouse by then, and have managed to get a few hours in-game!
