Dead By April in Stavanger

I have been listening to Dead By April for years and years now. I think I discovered them about 15 years ago or so, still rather “early” in their days as a band, just a few years in I imagine. And OH MY GOD am I glad that I went to see this band live! It has to be one of the wildest live shows I have ever witnessed! The band, the crowd, all of it.

This band has meant a lot to me. Sadly, I’ve never seen them perform live until now, but I am so glad that has changed now! Their songs hit me at an emotional state in my teenage years (we all miss those, yeah?). Perfect timing, and perfect “therapy”.

The show I attended was held at the Folken venue in Stavanger on 30th of May, and packed the place with about 600+ people attending. Sold out! The energy of the crowd, the sound, it was amazing.

For the last couple of years, I’ve tried to be better at attending events like this. Concerts, going to the movies, all of those things. Because you never know when a group will play their last show, or a movie won’t be available.
The experience, oh my. And the memories.

I got a great short video of the last song they played, “Losing You” - their biggest hit by far! And if you can’t tell it, the energy reached such a level that the crowd basically stole the show! Close to an out-of-body experience.
Enjoy!
