Ice, ice… maybe?

I will start by saying that i could not let this go untouched. After i made some new seamount models to make more variety in Arctic Submerged, i had to make some more models for the icebergs too! I couldn’t just leave them all behind. It would end up being a total mis-match (at least in my mind) to customize the depths of the game, but almost ignoring what’s on the surface! That ice needed some love!

I hope you’ll like them! I really enjoyed making them, and i do believe they will give more life - and make the scenery more alive, here, take a look:

New iceberg models

Still keeping true to the original design, but with some new elements added to make them seem more “alive”. It also breaks through the established colors by adding a splash of yellow, green and brown. I like them! The designs are simplistic, but match very well with the other previously added (and new) designs. Not too complex shapes, familiar elements that the players easily can identify as the objects they are suppose to represent.

Benefits of different designs

Some of you have perhaps started to wonder why i keep adding more and more designs to the already established designs of the game. Well, there are many reasons to it. To bring in variety, making it look more exciting and unique, giving you something beautiful to look at. Also, another “hidden” benefit: Distractions. Yup. These designs function as distractions. You will focus on them, either directly or indirectly, and that -can- potentially throw you off your game. I know, i’m evil. But this is a proven and well-known game design “hack”. I think it will help to make the game harder, as well as making it more visually pleasing.

Abbi

Hi! I like games, and think that they’re the ultimate form of art; combining music, color and story - all in one product.

Trying to create a game development company here - brb!
