From nothing into
The feeling can be hard to explain with one word alone, but if i would have to use only one word, i guess it would be: Optimistic. I believe that many people share this feeling, and the description of it as well. To see an area expand into becoming filled with homes, business facilities and shops: Come on - it HAS to make you optimistic too!
The great cranes
Seeing the cranes towering the skyline, as the structures and shapes starts forming into what resembles houses, buildings and outdoor areas. A fascination for industry? me too. The strength and share “power” of these machines is just amazing! And the people who work within construction and machinery: thank you. Really, thank you! You have, and will continue, to realize people’s dreams. Be it creating their homes, or expanding the growing community.
Brings hope
When you walk down the street - do you feel disturbed, annoyed or even to some extent disgusted by the heavy industry? The heavy machinery, all the workers shouting, the smoke and uneven grounds that have been torn apart due to heavy loads. I don’t. Quite the opposite, in fact.
For me, it is a symbol of movement. New beginnings and activity. Progression. It truly brings joy to my life, and a feel-good sensation about the future. Optimism in it’s cleanest form. To imagine all the lives that will be affected by a construction project like this. Before, under development, and when it’s all done. Planning phase brings in a lot of expertise and creates / maintains jobs. The construction creates and maintains jobs, and when it’s all done: Suddenly, it’s a family’s home. Or perhaps a store, where they sell goods and people work, or an office, where they plan the next big thing to revolutionize the world as we see it.
It all started with a messy construction site. Heavy machinery. Cranes and people.
