WoW Forever - excited!
I’ve waited on making a “statement” regarding this, but you should know that I have been hyped for this new chapter in World of Warcraft since its reveal! I’m genuinely impressed by what Blizzard has managed to create, and look forward to exploring this new reimagining of a game that I am so passionate about.
As an Alliance main, I will go Alliance on the PvE Ruleset, starting with a Human Paladin. For alts, I will likely make a Gnome Priest, and perhaps a Dwarf Shaman. My two “main routes” will be Paladin and Priest, as those are the classes I am most familiar with. Some footage indicates dual talent specialization, which I would wish welcome.
On my Paladin, I would go Protection / Holy. My priest would be Shadow / Holy. Shaman would be Ench / Resto.
The fun thing about WoW Forever is that even familiar players will get to “rediscover” their classes and roles. New spells, abilities, talents and racials has either been added, altered or changed for this iteration of the game. Veteran players will feel that some things are quite familiar, but at the same time having the thrill to rediscover their love for the class or race. Many specializations that previously were deemed “not viable”, will now seemingly be “viable” and even good! For instance, Protection Paladin now actually has a Taunt through Seals and Judgements, Holy Strike (much like Crusader Strike) attack, and increased threat generation across the board. Shadow Priests are more mana efficient and has access to AoE plague-like dots spreading upon a target’s death, as well as an “execute” in the spell Shadow Word: Death. Some spells and abilities added in WoW Forever are from later versions of the game, reworked in one way or another. Other spells and abilities are completely new.
There are MANY new systems to play with as well, which will make professions more desirable throughout the game.
Not only for your own character, but in group settings as well.
This new chapter of World of Warcraft will be a massive hit.
