Abbi the baker?

That’s right! I have recently discovered the fun in baking! Cakes, cookies, all of it! Although i must say, i haven’t experimented too broadly with recipes yet - i have certainly found this enjoying! At the moment, Banana Cake has been a blast to bake. I have made it a few times now, and it just seems to be getting better and better! Last time, i even experimented with some frosting on top - and my oh my, now that was something!

Up until this point in my life, i was never really excited to bake at all. I loved eating baked goods, but i couldn’t stand being even part of the process in making any of it. That has completely changed. I think it is a mindset thing, that i haven’t realized before now. We start with raw ingredients, having a few processes of mixing and treating them properly, and in the end we have a finished result for us to enjoy.

In many ways - baking a cake is a project. And that right there, ladies and gentlemen, made my mind love this. We start a process, and we finish it. Oh! the joy and excitement - Can’t wait to continue this journey of baking. Hopefully, it will be an interest (or at least an activity) that i will enjoy for quite a while.

Oh! by the way, i just bought myself a waffle iron - been thinking about it for ages, finally did it! So i will be making waffles too, and try to make the most amazing waffles ever!
