Data Science at UIA 2025

So, as you might know from some of my previous blog posts in 2025, i took the subject Data Science at University of Agder in the fall semester of 2025. Well, right before new years - i got my final grade for the subject. I can proudly say, after many hours of working with data sets and creating business cases - that i got an A grade as my final grading!

I thought the subject was interesting, and that our lecturer and professor had a great approach in his classes. He managed to convey the importance of data, in real life scenarios. In many ways, it became a healthy mix of academic and practical experiences.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the subject as a part of the Masters in Digitalization degree. The entire class was streamed online, and had a mix of personal and group assignments for grading. We used PowerBI and DataRobot for visualize data, and clean data sets.

Instead of the typical academic “ways” of doing things - our professor made this more engaging by creating scenarios for us, encouraging usage of business cases and practical use cases in real world situations.

My first A-grading on a subject. All of it. Individual and group assignment. I am so, so proud of myself and my group of students. We did it! Woohoo!!
